Black Mesa Project

The Black Mesa Chapter of the Navajo Nation received a donation of a plot of land near Kayenta, AZ, on which a local committee is interested in building a community center. This will one day include a small preschool, a senior center and a meeting hall. EWB ASU is involved in this project by providing preliminary analysis and surveying of the site . They will eventually present their recommendations and a comprehensive report to the Navajo community, preparing them to hire a firm to complete the process.

The land donated for the project has gorgeous views. The community eventually hopes to put in bike paths and walking trails around the 104 acre plot.
